Your walk leader is a regular club member who volunteers their time. They are experienced navigators, and many have been leading groups for several years.
While the leader guides the walk, you’re responsible for your own safety and should follow their advice. Please don’t go ahead of the leader or leave the group without checking with them first.
There are only a few simple rules to keep everyone safe and comfortable:
Smoking is not allowed on the coach.
Alcohol isn’t permitted on the walks or coach, but there’s usually time for a social drink at a pub or café after the walk.
Dogs aren’t allowed on club walks to avoid problems with landowners and livestock.
Thanks to good organisation and many years of experience, the club has an excellent safety record.
No other club in West Lancashire offers such a wide range of walks so regularly throughout the year.
Please remember: All outdoor activities carry some risks, and walking is no different. While your safety is our top priority, accidents can happen. It’s important for everyone to take responsibility and use common sense to help keep themselves and others safe.
